One thing about fashion trends is that they change so fast. One thing can be in this year and the next year, its outdated. Last year, we saw how neon was such a huge color trend. Neon was incorporated with a lot of clothing and accessories but this year, the trend setters (designers) are telling a different story.
The pretty shades are back this year. We saw shades of pastel colors on the runway off genius brands such as Burberry, Mary Katrantzou and Elie Saab.
I love this trend and as a matter of fact, I do have a lot of pastels in my wardrobe. Personally, when I’m trying to pull of a feminine and soft look, I do consider pastel colored piece first. To effortlessly rock this trend, try out colors like powder blue, peach, coral and cream. You can infuse pastel colors in your look by so many ways including a pastel clutch or a pastel colored lipstick.
Here are some more pictures of pretty pastels…Enjoy!
Thank you for reading and have a great week ahead!
Elie Saab never ceases to amaze me. He is the king of couture! What I love about this collection is the fact that the silhouettes used were very simple. There was a rampant display of the A – line silhouette, drapes, corseted body hugging frames etc but what seemed to be his main focus here was the embellishments, embroidery and details which included sequins, stones and crystals.
The colors used was inspired by royal stones like sapphire, ruby, emerald and so much more. If you are an Elie Saab, you would know that this genius is also very fond of the monochromatic look on the runway and he didn’t fail to use this trend this time. He loves pairing red dresses with red shoes, green dresses with green shoes and this may be hard to pull off but he sure does make it look like a piece of cake. In conclusion, this was a really elegant and beautiful collection.
