So after looking through the collection of the best of the best designers, I’ve spotted some major trends! Some trends have refused to go away from the fashion scene, some are new, some are weird and crazy.
Looking at the Resort 2014 at large,I would say, there was a lot of influence from the 90’s. I would say that the typical woman that most designers designed for is a very elegant and fashion forward woman.
Monochrome Is Here To Stay!
The monochrome trend has been very major ever since! It is a timeless trend and it may look so simple and easy to wear but you can definitely make a fashion statement rocking this trend. You can rock the monochrome trend in prints, stripes, solids, its so versatile! Beyonce rocks this trend well! I cannot emphasise on how chic and elegant this trend is.
From Versace to Jason Wu, this trend was sent through the runway of the best designers. Just like the monochrome trend, the mid riff look has refused to go away. This trend is also very flexible and easy to wear…it can easily be transformed from a day look to night.
Reasons why I love fashion? The constant transformation of some pieces! A basic sweatshirt is now so trendy and i’m so loving it. There’s this effortless look to this trend. Just put on a sweatshirt and some pants or a skirt and slip on your heels for that extra glam and you’re good to go!
This trend is all about revealing just a little skin and leaving a lot to the imagination. Its absolutely sexy!
This is also another extremely feminine trend. From burberry to Altuzarra, the sheer trend was amazingly beautiful. This trend is flexible because you can wear it in a number of ways that leaves plenty to the imagination. It accentuates your best features in a very subtle way.One of the best ways to rock this trend is by buying sheer separates like a blouse or a skirt. Are you ready to tantalize with this risque trend?
Leather is so hot this season! and i love the way it was used for Resort collections. There were leather dresses, skirts, jackets, pants, tops and footwear too! Leather has this edgy sexy appeal especially when its in black. If you have some killer curves, leather should be your thing because it makes all your assets show even more! **wink**
The good thing about rocking leather as a trend is that if you don’t wanna wear leather clothing, you can wear some killer leather boots like Ciara did! So rockstar!
The floral print trend like others has been on the fashion scene for years. I love florals…its just so feminine! FloralS are now ranging from smaller print to large prints, from soft florals to dark florals, from dresses to shoes and bags…its almost impossible to not find something floral that works for you. Oscar De La Renta, Naeem Khan, Matthew Williamson and Jill Stuart are a few designers who really used florals in their Resort collections. I love how Matthew Williamson showed how versatile the floral trend could be ranging from pencil skirts to short fitted dresses.
Once again, hope you enjoyed my post! xxx
