The Wana Sambo Woman

IMG_8077

Hey girls!

I have been down with a bad flu but I thank God because he has healed me. Sometimes, we would never appreciate good health until we don’t have it so I have learnt a huge lesson this week. Over the last weekend, I got the chance to shoot this gorgeous Wana Sambo slip dress that I bought from her studio. If y’all can remember, I was gushing about this dress when I was reviewing her collection and It was an absolute dream to have it.

The service at the Wana Sambo studio was impeccable because when I first of all got this dress, my weight was fluctuating and the designer, Wana altered my dress at least three times without complaint and it just increased my love for the brand.

When I was styling this look, I wanted it to be very plain because I feel the dress speaks for itself. Its too beautiful with the floral lace cutouts. Any excessive jewelry will have taken away from the dress which is why I opted for the gold stud earrings and some rings. I completed the look with pinkish nude lipstick and nude Christian Louboutin pigalles.

Pretty Pink Business!

IMG_7357

Hey girls!

It’s been a busy but exciting week for me. I’ve got so much I’m working on and I’m finally feeling like things are coming together nicely. I had a very exciting business meeting yesterday and because of my excited mood, I chose to wear this bright colored pantsuit. I must say, I got stares almost everywhere I went and I think it’s because of the power of pink! Smoking hot pink! I feel so bad for my girl’s in the corporate world because I know there are a lot of guidelines as to what you can wear to work and hot pink is certainly not one of them. Not to worry though, you can still slay the pantsuit trend but with a different color like grey or black. You can spice it up by adding a pop of color like a pink or yellow camisole beneath your jacket or just slipping on a pair of bright colored shoes.

I also did something interesting with this outfit post. I styled it in two different ways, the first being the simple corporate way which is how I wore the look to my meeting and the second, which is a sexy and flirty kind of look. I did that simply to show that the pantsuit is not just for work, it can also be styled differently for other occasions like lunch, church or for a night out with your ‘girls. You just need to style it according to the occasion, you either tone it down or you go all the way!

Have fun looking at the photos and I’d love to know which look you all loved best!

Enjoy!…xxx
