The Wana Sambo Woman

Hey girls!

I have been down with a bad flu but I thank God because he has healed me. Sometimes, we would never appreciate good health until we don’t have it so I have learnt a huge lesson this week. Over the last weekend, I got the chance to shoot this gorgeous Wana Sambo slip dress that I bought from her studio. If y’all can remember, I was gushing about this dress when I was reviewing her collection and It was an absolute dream to have it.

The service at the Wana Sambo studio was impeccable because when I first of all got this dress, my weight was fluctuating and the designer, Wana altered my dress at least three times without complaint and it just increased my love for the brand.

When I was styling this look, I wanted it to be very plain because I feel the dress speaks for itself. Its too beautiful with the floral lace cutouts. Any excessive jewelry will have taken away from the dress which is why I opted for the gold stud earrings and some rings. I completed the look with pinkish nude lipstick and nude Christian Louboutin pigalles.

This is how the dress looked on the runway. One word…FIERCE!

Pic of The Day

Hey girls!

I rarely do this ‘Pic of the day’ post so when I do, y’all know that it has to be a picture that really impressed or fascinated me. Today’s photo was taken from Weizdhurm Franklyn’s new collection titled ‘Bishop Bridget Is King’. I fell in love with this genius after his awesome collection last year at LFDW. He is so different on the nigerian fashion scene, his designs are whimsical and unconventional but he still pays a whole lot of attention to the woman’s body by accentuating and celebrating her curves. He is kind of our very ‘Dolce & Gabanna’. Black is a favorite color of mine so it’s no wonder these happen to be my fav looks from the entire lookbook. What do you girls think? Yay or Nay?
