Dreamy Blues

Hello everyone!

Its getting to the start of what I assume will be another beautiful week and I’m starting out on the right foot as my look this week is right on trend.

Recently, I wrote a post on the pastel color trend making a comeback this year and I love love how I put this look together. I have had this denim skirt for a while now and I was so glad to be able finally wear it. When I was putting this look together, I wanted to try out the monochromatic look and I was pleased with the result. I added the brown leather cap to give the look an unexpected edge. So let’s just say I killed two trends with one look. Yup!…I did that!…lol.

The sun was on a mission this day and unluckily for me, I ran out of my milk of magnesia which is what I use as a primer, so please pardon the oily skin. Asides that, I hope you enjoy the post!

Thank you for reading, always.

Trend Alert: Pretty Pastels

One thing about fashion trends is that they change so fast. One thing can be in this year and the next year, its outdated. Last year, we saw how neon was such a huge color trend. Neon was incorporated with a lot of clothing and accessories but this year, the trend setters (designers) are telling a different story.

The pretty shades are back this year. We saw shades of pastel colors on the runway off genius brands such as Burberry, Mary Katrantzou and Elie Saab.

I love this trend and as a matter of fact, I do have a lot of pastels in my wardrobe. Personally, when I’m trying to pull of a feminine and soft look, I do consider pastel colored piece first. To effortlessly rock this trend, try out colors like powder blue, peach, coral and cream. You can infuse pastel colors in your look by so many ways including a pastel clutch or a pastel colored lipstick. Pretty-Pastels-Spring-2014-Trends
